What was your favourite Super Bowl Ad?

And more importantly was it worth $3.8million? Here's a link to the skinny on this years ads. What was your favourite and why? And while you're at it - what did you think of the oreo social media score?

My favourite Super Bowl advertisement is the Best Buy ad with Amy Poehler, because she was able to poke fun at the target audiences (young, techno-savy consumers and her character which is an older, non-tech savy person trying to be like a young, hip person) without being offensive.

  3. Oreo Cookie Social Media Score

In my opinion, the Oreo Campaign “You Can Still Dunk in the Dark” is brilliant. Oreo’s ad team made it possible to conceive and produce the ad in only five minutes which is pretty impressive. Usually advertising takes months to produce, from the ad agency idea to client approval then to media placement. Ad agencies and client executives worked on it with a real-time, collaborative approach which made it possible for the ad to happen so quickly. During the Super Bowl many people were on Twitter, and this made it easy for Oreo to get its message out on a social media channel rather than reserving television airtime or print space in advance, which is very expensive. The message was able to move at the same speed as if it were the news. Oreo has set a great example for more advertisers to create an opportunity like this during live events so marketers will have their digital agencies ready to seize the moment. After Oreo’s 30-second Super Bowl spot, Oreo promoted a brands Instagram page.
